Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Jill Carr
This is my eleventh year in the teaching industry and eighth year in School District 308. Before returning in 2012, I was a teacher for two and a half years at a therapeutic day school for children with severe autism. Although very rewarding, I realized how much I missed being in the general education setting, and I was very fortunate to be given the opportunity to return to the district as a fifth grade teacher at Hunt Club five years ago. I was transferred to Homestead Elementary School four years ago and since then have been a part of the 3rd, 4th and 5th grade teams. This year I have decided to return to special education as a resource teacher, and am very excited for this new role! I have a master’s degree in teaching from Aurora University, in Aurora, Ill., and my special education certification from DePaul University, in Chicago.
