I received my bachelor's degree in special education from Northern Illinois University, Dekalb, in 2000 with a learning behavior specialist endorsement.  My teaching career began at Old Post Elementary, where I taught special education for 4 years.  During the next 8 years, I stayed home to raise our 2 children, while regularly volunteering in different classroom settings throughout the district.  Beginning in 2013, I worked for 2 years as a Title 1 Reading Interventionist at Southbury Elementary. This is my sixth year teaching special education at Grande Park Elementary.  Teaching children has always been my passion!  I am excited for another year of fun and learning!
