Welcome to an exciting year in 3rd grade!

This is my 13^th year teaching and third year at Hunt Club in District 308. I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education from Clearwater Christian College in Clearwater, FL with an endorsement in ESL.  I also hold a current bilingual teaching license. 

After finishing college, I taught preschool and high school math and science at a small private school near Chicago.   I then accepted a position at an English emersion private school in Lima, Peru in South America where I spent the next 8 years.  While there, I taught everything from 1^st grade to 5^th grade and some middle school science.  I also helped with beginning conversational English in our 3-year-old preschool program.  I was head of the ELA department for the elementary section, organized several school-wide science and art fairs, and helped welcome and acclimate teachers new to the country and school.  I also offered English tutoring outside of school, took part in filming and translating for a company that produces English learner videos, and worked translating for other small companies.

I am so very excited to be able to use both of my languages here at Hunt Club and hope to share a love of the language and rich Hispanic culture with my students.  Each student is a special part of our class and I enjoy watching them bloom and grow in their newly found languages.
