English is my second language, while Spanish is my first language.  This is why I intended to become a dual language teacher so that I could teach kids a second language just like I did.  I have always loved working with kids and so I knew that I wanted to be a teacher.  I love working with bilingual or multi-lingual students.  It is amazing to see how students grow academically in both languages.  I attended Illinois State University in Normal, Ill., where I obtained my bachelors in Bilingual/Bicultural Education.  I look forward to bringing my creativity and positive personality to your child in second grade!  I know that they will love being in my classroom!
