Bednarcik Robotics is now part of the SD308 Robotics Program.FIRST Lego Challenge (Grades 6-8)Lego robotics is back and this time available to students at all 5 junior high schools.Registration for teams needs to be completed by August 30 at 5 pm. Parents need to read the information and answer the questions on the following Google Survey: Robotics Info and Sign Up FormGear It Up - High School Robotics Training Program (Grades 8 and 9)If your student is currently entering 8th grade or has transitioned to high school there are some additional options for them. The Gear It Up program is designed to teach about all areas of FIRST and building a real robot. Students will learn about mechanical construction, electrical work, coding, team work, and the pillars of FIRST. This program will run in the fall semester which means that 8th graders could decide to join Lego Robotics or the Gear It Up Program. 8th grade Students in the Gear It Up Program may also be invited to shadow our High School students when their season begins in January. 9th grade students can now join our High School Robotics team without the Gear It Up Program but they are encouraged to complete it if they have little experience in Robotics. More information about this program will be coming out in the next few weeks.
