Day 1: Thursday, Dec. 9th
Objective: Students will examine the causes of the French Revolution
Activities:
- Focus Question: What was the issue with the building the Palace of Versailles? AND Define deficit and list two ways to cure a deficit
- PearDeck on the Causes of The French Revolution PPT with French Rev Notes Guide
- Look at the Three Estates Political Cartoon and predict who is in the cartoon and what is happening.
HW: Read Ch. 7, Sec. #1 (p. #217 - #221)
Day 2: Friday, December 10th
Objective: Students will examine the moderate phase of the French Revolution
Activities:
- The French Revolution PPT with Notes Guide (Estates General, Bastille and the Louis’ Return to Paris)
HW: Read Ch. #7, Sec. #2.

Day 3: Monday, December 13th
Objectives: Students will review the causes taxation and voting causes of the French Revolution and the moderate phase of the French Revolution (Estates General, Bastille and the Louis’ Return to Paris)
Students will analyze the radical phase of the revolution (Reign of Terror) & the need for a solution to the craziness of the revolution.
Activities:
- Play the Three Estates Taxation Game
- Review the Moderate Phase of the Revolution (PPT)
- Begin watching “The French Revolution” Documentary (90 minutes)

Objective: Students will analyze the radical phase of the revolution (Reign of Terror) & the need for a solution to the craziness of the revolution.

Objective: Students will analyze the effects of the Revolution, Napoleon’s rise and fall in power
Activities:

- PPT: Napoleon’s Empire
- Watch cartoon video on Napoleon
HW: Complete the Essential Question Exit Ticket on Napoleon
Read Ch. 7 ,Sec. #5 (p. 238 - 241) on the Congress of Vienna and questions on the Google Form
Day 7: Friday, December 17th
Objective: Students will analyze the Congress of Vienna and the Restoration of the Bourbon Monarchy
Activities:
- PPT on the Congress of Vienna and the Restoration of the Bourbon Monarchy
- Watch the Cartoon video on the French Revolution as a wrap up
HW: Complete the Essential Question Exit Ticket on the Congress of Vienna

Objective: Students will be assessed on the French Revolution
Activities:
- Take the French Revolution Test
- Complete any missing work

Day 10: Wednesday, December 22nd
Objective: Today will be used as a make-up day.
Activities:
- Students will use the class period to work on missing assignments in the effort to improve their grade.
