Old Post Elementary

Hello Everyone!  My name is Miss Cecilia White and I am the new LRC director in School District 308.  I currently teach LRC classes at Old Post Elementary on (M-T-W-Th and F in the PM).  I also teach at Lakewood Creek Elementary on Friday Mornings.  Although it is my first year in District 308, I have been a library media specialist for 24 years.  I received my Bachelors in Elementary Education from U of I in Champaign-Urbana.  I then received my Master's Degree in Library Science from Chicago State University.  I have also taught in the Chicago Public School System as well as in Glen Ellyn District 41.

I so look forward to a wonderful year of discovering the talents and interests of each of my  students.  However, I also can’t wait to explore and problem-solve with the children as we all embark on a continuous learning journey!
