• Title I Elementary Job Responsibilities

    Title I Elementary Literacy Instructional Coach is responsible for bringing evidence-based practices into classrooms by working with and supporting teachers, reading professionals, and administration with the goal of increasing student engagement, improving student achievement, and building teacher capacity in the area of literacy.   The Literacy Coach assists teachers and Reading Professionals in analyzing and interpreting test scores to guide instruction; and oversees progress monitoring of students selected for various Language Arts interventions. 

    Title I Elementary Math Instructional Coach is responsible for bringing evidence-based practices into classrooms by working with and supporting teachers, interventionists, and administration with the goal of increasing student and parent engagement, improving student achievement, and building teacher capacity in the area of mathematics.  The Math Coach will meet regularly with Title I building math interventionists to provide ongoing training and to monitor fidelity of the intervention implementation.

    Elementary Title I Student Support Teacher is responsible for supporting targeted students, including EL students, in the area of math and/or language arts.  Ongoing communication and student advocacy with parents and teachers will be critical to the success of this position.  Examples of support for students are: daily instruction for targeted Title I identified students in the areas of math and/or language arts; as well as  a combination of computer-based, one on one and small group instruction.
