County School Facility Occupation TaxOn November 6, 2018 Kendall County voters will see a question on the ballot regarding sales tax. The County School Facility Occupation Tax, adds 1 % to the tax rate on certain retail purchases. The tax dollars are sent to the public school systems serving children who reside in Kendall County.The Board of Education in Oswego Community Unit School District 308 has adopted a policy that would direct all the money received from the 1% sales tax, if passed, towards the retirement of debt, thus lowering property taxes.You're encouraged to review the FAQs that further explain what is and is not included in the 1% tax.
