Ms. Donna Thill

Welcome, Pirates!

It is very exciting to begin my 28th year of teaching in School District 308 and my 16th year as a proud Plank Pirate.  Teaching sixth grade Social Studies this year will "look different" than in years past as IL State Standards have changed and our Curriculum has as well.  Additional details were shared at Curriculum Night and posted in your child's Google Classroom.  Outside the classroom, in years past, I have organized the Annual Veterans Day Assembly, designed our Yearbook, as well as working many sporting events around the district.

I earned my bachelor’s degree from the University of St. Francis, in Joliet, IL, studying education and psychology. I went on to earn my master’s degree from Aurora University. I have continued to take many postgraduate courses and additional professional development on a regular basis to enhance my skills and instruction as an educator.

Traveling and learning new cultures is my passion.  I am always thinking about, "Where shall I take my next adventure?"
