Mr. Craig Morris

I am originally from Paisley in the West of Scotland where I grew up developing a huge interest in Sports, especially Soccer.  I first came to America in 2005 where I spend 3 months coaching Soccer at AYSO soccer camps across the country. After graduating from The University of West of Scotland in June 2007 with a bachelors degree in Sports Studies and Physical Education,  I completed my teaching probation year at Garnock Academy in North Ayrshire, Scotland. After completing this and gaining full General Teaching Council Scotland registration, I then taught Physical Education at Gryffe High School, Renfrewshire, Scotland for 7 years. During this time I was a Head Coach in the school's Soccer program, Coach in the Badminton program and Head Coach of the senior boys Rugby team.

I emigrated to the US in 2016 and I gained my Professional Educator License in PE and Health. I spent a year subbing in numerous school districts in the south Suburbs including SD#308. I gained full time employment within a charter school network in Chicago where I taught Exercise and Wellness and Weight Lifting for one year before being offered a position at OE.

I joined the Kinetic Wellness department at East in August 2019 where I have been responsible for teaching Freshman and Sophomore PE along with Freshman Health. I am also assisting with the wrestling program and coaching the JV Girls Badminton team.

In my spare time I enjoy playing and watching soccer, cycling, swimming and spending time with my wife Angie and our 2 children, Mara and Owen.

It is a great privilege to be part of an exemplary school and I will continue to give a little more everyday to make sure students have nothing but fantastic experiences.
