    District 308 has partnered with Metlife and Dearborn National to offer additional voluntary healthcare and Life insurance benefit programs.

    Accident Insurance
    This insurance provides you with a lump-sum payment after an accident to use as you see fit. It can help with out-of-pocket expenses such as deductibles, copays, transportation to medical centers, and childcare expenses.     Critical Illness Insurance
    A critical illness insurance plan can help pay for expenses that may not be covered under your employer's existing medical insurance and disability plans. Please see the following MetLife Critical Illness Plan Summary Critical Illness.

    Hospital Indemnity Insurance
    Hospital indemnity insurance to help offset hospitalization expenses that may not be covered under your employer’s existing medical plan. Please see the following MetLife Hospital Indemnity Plan Summary.

    MetLaw Legal
    MetLife Legal Plans offers employees convenient and affordable access to a highly qualified network of attorneys for everyday personal legal matters. With MetLaw, receive discounted rates on legal advice and fully covered legal services for a wide range of personal legal matters including wills and estate planning, real estate matters, family law, and more. .     Voluntary Life
    Term Life benefits are payable in the event of death at any time from any cause, excluding suicide within 2 years of your effective date. Designations. Eligible employees can enroll for group voluntary life insurance through Dearborn National. Benefit issue amounts are guaranteed to a certain level without regard to health status if enrollment occurs within 31 days of your Hire Date. Otherwise, you will be required to complete and submit an Evidence of Insurability form if you decide to enroll at a later date. Dependent coverage is allowed when the employee is enrolled.

    Voluntary AD&D
    Accidental Death & Dismemberment insurance policies (AD&D) provide benefits for covered accidents that result accidental death, loss of limbs, eyesight, speech or hearing. You may only enrolled for AD&D if you are enrolled in Voluntary Life.  Dependent coverage is allowed when the employee is enrolled.
