Mrs. Colleen Knoll
I started my career in teaching by attending Eastern Illinois University, where I studied Elementary Education. I received a bachelor’s in Education with endorsements in Language Arts and Social Science. After graduating, I taught Kindergarten for 10 years in my hometown of Morris, IL. I also taught a Skills for Adolescence class in Middle School for one year. I took time off of teaching to be home with our children.
I am more than excited to be teaching again! I returned as a substitute teacher in Yorkville and Oswego school districts. I covered 2 maternity leaves, one being at Wolf’s Crossing in the spring of 2020 and worked as a First Grade teacher for the 2020-2021 school year. This current school year, I am excited to be working as a Reading Interventionist. Teaching and bringing that love of reading to children has always been a passion of mine and I am thrilled that I can share this experience with the students at Wolf's Crossing.
