Hi. My name is Jana McCracken and I am one of the Teachers of the Visually Impaired at SD308.  I graduated from NIU with my Bachelors and Masters degrees.  I have been teaching since 1990.  Most of my career I was part-time for KCSEC, but when we switched over to SD308 I became full-time.  I actually enjoy working full-time, but of course it is easier since my children are (semi) adults.  I love being a Vision Teacher/Itinerant Teacher because I move building to building throughout the school day.  On beautiful Fall and Spring days it is so wonderful to drive around and enjoy the weather.  This position also allows me more opportunity to drive through McDonald's drive-thru to get a large Diet Coke!!  My hobbies are biking and tennis.  I am lucky enough to belong to a small tennis club and play 3-4 times a week.
