Masters in School Leadership
Ms. Amy Regas
Have you ever thought about selecting a career that fits your values, personality, or your aptitudes? I have selected the best career that fits all of these important traits and the result is happiness. I started my undergraduate degree at Eastern Illinois University, Charleston, but not in teaching. One of my professors talked to me about selecting a career that fits my personality and values. What she saw in me was something I never thought about making a career out of. She saw the excitement I had while helping others in class. To this day, I am still excited about helping students in my class research their college and career interests.
I have been teaching for 24 years and 15 of these years have been for District 308 as a business teacher. I earned my master’s degree at Olivet University in school administration. I love to show my students how to research careers that will bring out the best in them. At their age, I never would have imagined being a teacher, and now I could not imagine doing anything else.
