Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. ANNA GIBSON
Welcome to Old Post! I started working in District 308 in 1991. I completed my undergraduate work and masters in Literacy and Language Education from the University of Illinois Chicago. While there, I was able to work in the UIC Center for Literacy for several years. After receiving my masters degree, I participated in a year long training and became certified in the program Reading Recovery. This early intervention program supports students who need intensive remediation in the early years. I have taken 50 hours of college credit past my masters degree. I love to learn new methods of instruction through classes and my colleagues.
As an educator, watching students learn and grow is a gift. It's crucial that I help them feel successful and motivated to achieve their goals. I am very grateful for the opportunity and inspired by them everyday. I am looking forward to another great year.
