Ms. Julie Peterson

I began my teaching career during the 1989-1990 school year.  I’ve been a learning and behavior specialist in District 308 at The Wheatlands since 2004. Prior to that, I taught in District 66 at both the elementary and junior high levels.

In 1989, I earned my bachelor’s degree from Valparaiso University, in Valparaiso, Ind., in elementary education. Immediately afterward, I earned Illinois special education endorsements in learning disabilities and social-emotional disorders from Benedictine University, in Lisle, Ill., and cognitive disorders from Roosevelt University, Chicago. More recently, I earned my administrative master’s degree in school improvement leadership from Olivet Nazarene University, Bourbonnais, Ill., in 2011.
