Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Sue Craig
I graduated from Elmhurst College, in Elmhurst, Ill., where I received my bachelor’s degree in early childhood education with an endorsement in special education. I received a master’s degree from National Louis University, Chicago, in curriculum and instruction, along with an endorsement in English as a second language. I began my teaching career in Addison School District and then Villa Park School District. Once my daughter was born, I stayed home for 10 years to focus on my family. I returned to teaching in Naperville School District 203 and, after one year, moved to Oswego School District 308. This is my fourteenth year teaching early childhood in the district. I am currently one of the pre-k teachers at Lakewood Creek Elementary, which is one of Brokaw's satellite buildings. I have also taught pre-k at Brokaw Early Learning Center, Old Post Elementary, and Prairie Point Elementary.
I began working with children when I was in high school. This led to my interest in early childhood education. I enjoy every minute in the classroom. I have a strong passion for teaching and helping young children to grow socially, emotionally, and academically. Every day is a new adventure. I feel very fortunate to work in such an amazing profession.
