I attended Illinois State University in Normal, IL., where I received my bachelor’s degree in social work.  I was a foster care caseworker for Catholic Charities for 3 years.  I went back to Aurora University to obtain my master’s in school social work.  I then worked in Downer’s Grove Grade School District #58, K-6, for 6 years.  I transitioned to an elementary school social work position in Oswego, K-5, after my second daughter was born.  I have been at Southbury Elementary School full-time for the last 8 years.  In this time, I also became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).  I feel blessed and lucky to have chosen the career I did because of my love for children!
