Mr. Matt Borrowman

I am a graduate of Illinois State University, Normal, and hold a bachelor’s degree in elementary education with middle and high school math endorsement. I began teaching in fall 2000 at what was then East View Elementary School. I spent two years at East View, teaching fourth and fifth grades. I then transferred to Bednarcik Junior High when it first opened. I taught sixth, seventh, and eighth grade academically talented math for eight years. During my time at Bednarcik, I went graduate school. I earned my master’s in curriculum and instruction from Olivet Nazarene University, in Bourbonnais, Ill. and also a master’s in administration from the University of St. Francis, in Joliet, Ill. In 2009 I transferred to Oswego High School, where I currently work in the mathematics department. I have spent all 22 years of my teaching career in School District 308.  At OHS, I teach Algebra 1, coordinate the AVID program, and serve as the Fall Athletic Coordinator.
