Dear Hunt Club Parents and Guardians,

It has been a wonderful summer, and school is just around the corner!  Hunt Club Elementary School staff has been working diligently to prepare for the arrival of all your children.  The start of the 2017-2018 school year is fast approaching.

We are eager to kick the school year off with a Home Run.  Our school theme will encompass a sport’s theme while focusing in on Growth Mindset.  Our school motto this year will be Dream it. Suéñalo. Believe it. Créelo. Achieve it. Lógralo.  We look forward to a championship season for all of our students!

This year, Hunt Club welcomes several new students and their families to our learning community.   Along with our new students, I am proud to announce the addition of many new staff members to the Hunt Club team.  We are excited to embrace new opportunities to connect and build strong, positive relationships while fostering a challenging learning environment for all students.

AVID will continue focusing mainly in grades three through five.  AVID strategies allow our students to gain independence in   showing strong student behaviors, preparing them for the learning and challenges that help them to be college and career-ready.  It’s never too early to gain life skills that foster personal success.  Be watching for more information on AVID as the year begins.

The first day of school begins on Wednesday, August 16th for all grades.  Please note that Kindergarten students will start on the same day as all other students this year.   There will be no Kindergarten Round-Up this year so please join us for Preview Night on Monday, August 14th to meet your teachers.

Please join us for Preview Night, Monday, August 14, from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M.  Come stroll through the building, locate your child(ren)’s classroom(s), and chat with friends and neighbors.  Our Home & School Association, along with other community   partners, will also have display tables of interest in the gym (and ice cream will be provided), so be sure to check them out while you are here.  We will be collecting information from you regarding transportation in order to ensure a smooth dismissal process as we begin the school year.

Let’s make the 2017-2018 a CHAMPIONSHIP school year!

    Sincerely,

    Mr. Patrick Haddock, Principal
