World Language Department Chair

I graduated from the University of Iowa, in Iowa City, in 1996 and started my career teaching junior high and high school Spanish at Ashton High School, in Ashton, Ill. I also coached football, boys and girls basketball and baseball. From there I taught junior high and high school Spanish at Yorkville High School for three years. I coached girls basketball and track at Yorkville. I went on to teach Spanish and American literature at Willowbrook High School, in Villa Park, Ill., from 2001 to 2003. While at Willowbrook, I began pursuing a master’s degree in educational leadership, receiving it in June 2003. In fall 2003, I accepted a position teaching Spanish and English at Oswego High School. In spring of 2003 I was hired as the division chair of social studies and world languages at Oswego East High School (OEHS). In 2006 the division split into two departments, and I remained the department chair for world languages. I also coach the Oswego East Chess Team, as well as announce the Football games.
