Welcome! I am excited to begin another year at Long Beach Elementary School. 

My teaching background starts at Florida State University where I earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a master’s degree in reading and language arts.  I came to Illinois in 2001 and began my career working in a Naperville school district where I filled many roles, including substitute, leave replacement, third grade teacher and reading specialist. After spending some time at home raising my children, I decided to return to my professional roots as a teacher. My journey brought me to Long Beach in August 2011. 

My goal, as a teacher, is  to instill a love of learning in all of the students I have the privilege to work with each day. It is amazing to see the growth and change that happens in each and every student throughout the year.
