Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Jessica Mueller

I attended the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, where I received my bachelor’s degree in sociology with a minor in psychology. After I graduated, I realized that I wanted to pursue a career in education so I enrolled in Northeastern Illinois University, Chicago, where I received my master’s degree in teaching. After receiving my master’s degree, I worked as a teaching assistant in Indian Prairie School District 204. I worked with students who received special education support and discovered that this was my true passion. I received my learning behavior specialist endorsement from Lewis University and was hired by School District 308 in 2010. I taught for one year at Churchill Elementary School before transferring to Homestead Elementary School. I have been a resource teacher at Homestead since 2011. My goal is to find different ways to help students learn and help foster a love for learning in each and every child I work with.
