#2: And I’m Mark Brody and this is Wolfpack News for Friday, April 28th, 2017.

#1: OE is a top school according to US News and World Report. Only one-fourth of the schools evaluated this year were awarded gold, silver, or bronze medals in the 2017 rankings. The nation’s 22 thousand plus public high schools were ranked on school-specific enrollment data, college readiness, student ethnicity, location, school type, and the results of state assessments and AP tests. OE ranked number 57 in the state and 1,779 in the nation. We also received silver medal status. The AP participation rate at OEHS is 48 percent.

#2: The Auto Club is hosting a Car Show fundraiser next Saturday from 3 to 6 PM by the Annex! It’s 10 dollars per car, and registration will start at 2PM that day. The show itself is free, though!

#2: On May 11th from 4.30 to 7pm, the OE Bands will host a BBQ fundraiser through 5-B's Bar-B-Que. Tickets for meals can be purchased from any band student or from either band director. Meal options are 2 pork chops, 2 chicken quarters, or a pork chop/chicken combo. Each meal also comes with coleslaw, apple sauce, and bread.

#1: All Sophomores and Juniors. This summer OE will run the Second Annual Wolves 101 program. It is a program to help incoming freshman transition into high school. We are looking for leaders to help run the program. This will make up 25 service hours, for the week of the program and a mandatory training day. If you are interested, pick up an application outside of F128 or contact Mr. Schaeffer.

If you do not sign up for a bus you will be placed on a bus for the trip to and from Six Flags. If you have any questions please see Mr. Szymanski. And now it’s time for sports here’s Jacob.
