Driven by her passion for helping students prepare for their post-secondary plans, Dr. Heather Martin joined the SD 308 Board of Education in 2025. She is committed to supporting students throughout their entire educational journey and ensuring the district remains steadfast in its student-centered values and practices.

With more than 20 years of experience as an educator, Dr. Martin brings a comprehensive understanding of the district’s priorities. Her background spans teaching and leadership roles across K–12 and higher education, giving her a multifaceted perspective on how to best support learners. Whether drawing from her time in the classroom or her work in administration, Dr. Martin approaches decision-making with a well-rounded, holistic view of education.

A proud SD 308 parent with two children in district schools, Dr. Martin is deeply connected to the community she serves. Her personal investment in the district fuels her dedication to fostering strong educational opportunities for all students.
