Board Member Sieh
Erika Sieh
Board Member
Erika Sieh’s strong belief in the power of public education led her to join the SD 308 Board of Education in 2025. Since becoming a Board member, she has embraced the opportunity to learn something new about the district each day. She is particularly encouraged by the district’s recent financial progress and is excited about ongoing improvements within the Special Education Department, as well as efforts to create learning environments where all students feel supported, included, and empowered.
With a professional background in geology and environmentally focused work, Ms. Sieh offers a unique lens to Board discussions, informed by analytical thinking and a commitment to sustainability. She also values a well-rounded educational experience. As a former member of the Marching Illini during her time at the University of Illinois, she appreciates the impact of extracurricular involvement. Today, she continues to share her love of music by playing French horn in local ensembles, including the Aurora Legion Band.
A district resident since 2008, Ms. Sieh is deeply rooted in the SD 308 community. Her two children attend district schools, and she is a frequent presence at their athletic events. Beyond her involvement in schools, she is active in the broader community through Moms & More Oswego, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting mothers at all stages of parenthood.
