Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Sarah Voitik
I have enjoyed being a part of the district’s gifted education (GE) program as an GE teacher since 2002 at various elementary schools throughout District 308. Prior to working in the GE Program, I taught second and third grades for six years in the district. I am a graduate of Bradley University, in Peoria, Ill., where I completed my undergraduate degree in elementary education. Early in my teaching career, I earned a master’s in school administration from North Central College, in Naperville, IL. Since then I have completed more than 60 hours of graduate coursework in gifted education, reading, and other teaching areas.
Watching children learn something new is such a rewarding experience. It’s especially challenging to help a bright student learn something new because often these students aren’t accustomed to struggling. I look forward to having the privilege of working with the GE students in District 308 for many more years to come.
