I received my bachelor’s degree in music education from Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, and from there went to North Central College, Naperville, for my master’s in educational leadership.  I am now back at Northern Illinois pursuing a doctorate of curriculum and instruction. After three years of middle school choir and general music in the Elgin School District, I wound up in Oswego, where I have taught choir and general music at Bednarcik Junior High School for 16 years.
