Ms. Donna Thill
It is very exciting to begin my 26th year of teaching in School District 308 and my 14th year as a proud Plank Pirate. Teaching sixth grade Social Studies this year will "look different" than in years past as IL State Standards have changed and our Curriculum has as well. More details will be shared at Curriculum NIght, Tuesday, August 20, from 6:15-8PM. Outside the classroom I organize the Annual Veterans Day Assembly, design our Yearbook, as well as being the Student Council sponsor.
I earned my bachelor’s degree from the University of St. Francis, in Joliet, IL, studying education and psychology. I went on to earn my master’s degree from Aurora University. I have continued to take many postgraduate courses and additional professional development on a regular basis to enhance my skills and instruction as an educator.
Traveling and learning new cultures is my passion. I am always thinking about, "Where shall I take my next adventure?"
