Degrees and Certifications:
Mr. Sean Daleiden
I have been teaching in School District 308 since 2005. In 2017 I joined the Plank Junior High teaching staff. I previously taught at Homestead, Wolf's Crossing, and Boulder Hill Elementary schools prior to coming to Plank. My education includes a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from Benedictine University, Lisle, where I found my true calling for teaching, and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Concordia University, Chicago. My philosophy for education centers around my belief that it is important to educate the whole child by looking at a student's strengths in order to reach their struggles. Every child can learn, and it is my job to help them be successful with hard work and to teach them how to advocate for themselves. I hold each student to the highest expectations while celebrating successes, both big and small, as each student works to meet his or her goals.
