Degrees and Certifications:

Dr. Patti Marcinko

After graduating from the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh, with my undergraduate degree in broad field social science education, I continued on at the University of Wisconsin to complete my master’s degree in school counseling. While in graduate school, I served as a graduate assistant with Project Success, a program for learning disabled college students. After attaining my master’s degree, I worked as the assistant director of Project Success for three years.

In 1990, I began my career in District 308 as a school counselor at Thompson Junior High School. In 1997, I moved to Oswego High School, continuing in the role of a counselor for the next four years. In 2001, I became the director of student services. Shortly after arriving at Oswego, I began my doctoral work at Loyola University, Chicago. I completed my Ph.D. in 2001, with a major in educational psychology and minors in special education and counseling, as well as my administrative certification. My role student services at Oswego High School has given me the opportunity to work with so many outstanding students, assisting them with academic, social and emotional development and college and career planning. It’s a great place to be!
