Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Kelly Tobin-Martin
After being a recruiter for 15 years, I decided to return to college to complete my education and get my teaching certificate. I attended Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, where I majored in English and minored in history. Once I received my certificate, I became a Panther. I later earned my master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Aurora University, in Aurora, Ill., and I am currently pursuing my doctorate there as well. I have taught all levels of English at Oswego High School, which gives me a solid foundation of knowing where students have been and what they need to do to get to the next level.
English classes are a great opportunity for students to learn critical thinking skills through their analysis of different texts and to strengthen their oral and written communication skills. I look forward to seeing all of my students learn and grow throughout the year.
