Mr. Wenjiang Tu
I joined Oswego High School (OHS) in fall 2005 as a math teacher, and I have taught a variety of algebra and calculus courses. I have been the junior and senior coach for mathletes since 2009. I was nominated “Most Influential Educator” in the 2006-07, 2008-09, 2011-12, 2012-13, and 2015-16 school years, totaling nine nominations by the top 10 percent of academically achieved students. In addition, I am the advanced placement calculus reader and attended the national grading session in June 2012.
I received a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, followed by my master’s degree in mathematics from Western Michigan University, in Kalamazoo, Mich. In my free time, I like to read math books and magazines. My professional career outside of OHS includes teaching college algebra at Morton College in Cicero, Ill., as a part-time instructor from 2005 to 2009.
