Mr. Daniel Whipple
A teacher at Oswego High School since 2005, I work in the visual arts department typically with digital media, but I also have opportunities to teach more traditional drawing and painting techniques.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Grand Valley State University, in Allendale, Mich. After some freelance work, which I continue to do today, I ended up continuing my education with a teaching endorsement in kindergarten through grade 12 art from North Central College, in Naperville, Ill. After several years of teaching in the classroom, I was able to earn my Master’s of Education in Curriculum Technology from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
Currently at Oswego High School, I teach AP 2D Art and Design, Digital Rendering, Digital Snapshot, Digital Art Basics, and Drawing 1. Before and after school I am head coach of the boys cross country team and am a volunteer assistant coach of the Oswego Boys Track and Field team. Outside of school, I do freelance art and design work along with enjoying time with my family.
