Degrees and Certifications:
Bachelor of Fine Arts Masters in Education (Curriculum Technology)
Mr. Daniel Whipple
A teacher at Oswego High School since 2005, I work in the visual arts department typically with digital media, but I also have opportunities to teach more traditional drawing and painting techniques.
I earned my bachelor’s degree from Grand Valley State University, in Allendale, Mich. After some freelance work, which I continue to do today, I ended up continuing my education with a teaching endorsement in kindergarten through grade 12 art from North Central College, in Naperville, Ill. After several years of teaching in the classroom, I was able to earn my master’s of education in curriculum technology from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
Currently at Oswego High School, I teach advanced placement studio art 2D design, digital imaging and computer illustration, web design, introduction to design, and art foundations. Before and after school I am head coach of the boys cross country team and assistant coach of the Oswego boys track and field team. Outside of school, I do freelance art and design work along with enjoying the opportunities to still compete in road races and marathons.
