Mrs. Dianna Palumbo

English teacher

I have always worked toward paving a path to becoming a teacher. Through extracurricular activities and the courses I took, I was able to build strong relationships with wonderful teachers. I continued to build relationships with professors at the community college and university, dedicating my time and effort to new organizations and committees as well.

I attended Waubonsee Community College, Sugar Grove, right out of high school, but my bachelor’s degree in honors English and secondary education is from Roosevelt University, Chicago. I also earned a master’s degree in science in written communication from National Louis University, Chicago.

I was fortunate enough to have completed my practicum work at Oswego East High School (OEHS) during spring 2007, which made my internship in the fall more enriching. I value everything that I was able to observe, learn, and practice throughout that entire year. My desire to return to OEHS is due to the support and appreciation that I was shown as a temporary faculty member. Thirteen years later, I am proud to still call OEHS my home away from home.
