Kinetic Wellness Teacher

I have been teaching physical education for the past 20 years. During this time, I have taught four years at the elementary level and sixteen years at the high school level. As a kinetic wellness instructor at Oswego East High School (OEHS), I have experience in teaching freshman foundations, adventure education, team sports, excel, the entire sophomore curriculum and bowling/golf. I received my undergraduate degree from Illinois State University, Normal, in physical education with a minor in coaching. I have also received two master’s degrees. My first master’s is in school administration through Olivet Nazarene University, Bourbonnais, Ill., and my second master’s is in physical education through Emporia State University, Emporia, Kan. I am also a coach at OEHS. I am the head girls bowling coach. I am also the Assistant Athletic Director.  I was inspired to be a teacher by my high school geometry teacher Mr. Francis. He taught me how fun math can be and how enjoyable teaching was to him.
