OE EL Coordinator and EL Math Teacher
I joined the Oswego East High School (OEHS) faculty in 2008 after graduating from Trinity Christian College, Palos Heights, Ill., with my bachelor’s of arts in mathematics and education. I am certified to teach mathematics in grades six through 12. In my final year at Trinity, I was able to do my student teaching at Lincoln Junior High, in Naperville, Ill. While teaching at OEHS, I received my English as a second language endorsement and my master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from National Louis University. I also received my learning and behavioral specialist endorsement (LBS1) through St. Francis University, in Joliet, Ill., in June 2013. I have taken science master’s classes from Aurora University, in Aurora, Ill., in the area of STEM (science, technology, engineering and math). Through this opportunity I was able to attend and present a poster at the U.S. Department of Education Mathematics and Science Partnership Program Conference in Washington, D.C. I am currently serviing the role EL Coordinator for Oswego East High School.
