Mr. Stevan Rexroat

Instrumental Music Teacher

Mr. Rexroat joined the band staff at Oswego East in 2013. Mr. Rexroat co-teaches all five curricular band classes with Ms. Cooper. After school, Mr. Rexroat leads the instrumental jazz program and is the sponsor for the Tri-M Music Honor Society. Mr. Rexroat additionally leads the pit orchestra for the spring musical and works with Ms. Cooper with the OEHS Pep Band and Marching Band. 

Mr. Rexroat graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA in December of 2012 with a dual degree in Music Education and Saxophone Performance, as well as a minor in Conducting. Mr. Rexroat received his Master's degree in music education from The American Band College of Central Washington University in 2020. 

Mr. Rexroat is primarily a woodwind player who has experience performing in wind ensembles, orchestras, pit orchestras, combos, and more. Outside of the school day, Mr. Rexroat teaches private lessons on saxophone, clarinet, and flute.

Mr. Rexroat is a member of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), the Illinois Music Educators Association (ILMEA), and the National Band Association (NBA).
