Degrees and Certifications:
Mr. John Paul Shore
Out of high school, I attended Western Illinois University, Macomb, where I studied math education and was a member of the Western Illinois baseball team. After finishing my degree, I got a job at Oswego East High School (OEHS) and have been teaching here ever since (14th year). This year I teach algebra 1 and advanced placement calculus. I obtained my master’s degree in educational leadership from Concordia University, Chicago.
I knew when my baseball career was over that I wanted to stay in baseball. Coaching, I thought, was a great path to this goal, so I explored the options of teaching. After my first experience observing and working with students in an actual classroom in my sophomore year at Western, I fell in love with it and knew education was the right path for me.
