I received a bachelor’s degree in exercise sports science from Carthage College, Kenosha, Wis., in 2002. In 2004 I obtained drivers education and health certification endorsements from Northern Illinois University, DeKalb. I next received my master’s degree from Governors State University, Chicago, in 2008 in administration. This is my 16th year teaching at Oswego East High School. Prior to joining District 308, I taught at sixth, seventh, and eighth grade physical education at Westview Hills Middle School for two years. I was also a substitute teacher at Downers Grove South High School for one year.
At Downers Grove South, I was the assistant varsity boys soccer coach for three years and the assistant girls basketball coach for two years. I played four years of college soccer at Carthage College. I also played two years of basketball at Carthage. I was an assistant coach on the 2004 State Championship boys soccer team at Downers Grove South. In my free time I enjoy traveling the world to ride roller coasters and visiting Major League Baseball stadiums. Currently i have ridden 580 different roller coasters and have visited over 100 different amusement parks throughout the world! Even though covid19 prevented me from attending any baseball games this summer i have been to 16 different MLB ball parks. GO WHITE SOX!
Besides teaching in the kinetic wellness department at Oswego East I am also the head boys soccer coach (14years). I am also involved with TAG (Travel Abroard Group) and will be traveling with students this spring to Europe (berlin, Prague, Krakow, & Budapest).
