Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Jennifer Adams
Greetings and Welcome to 4Adams!
I am very excited to part of your child’s educational growth. My education background begins with earning my Bachelor of Science in psychology from Carroll University in Wisconsin. I continued my education at the University of Nebraska – Kearney where I earned my Masters of Community Counseling with an emphasis in higher education. While in Kearney, I worked as a hall director for fraternities and sororities. What a fun and interesting experience! This experience in higher education brought me to North Central College in Naperville, where I was a hall director for freshmen residence halls for four years. While I was there I chose to take the extra classes I needed in order to earn my elementary education degree so I could work with a “younger” group of students. I am certified to teach K-9 in the areas of general education, general sciences and general social sciences. I completed my teaching certification by doing my student teaching at East View Elementary in 2005. Since 2006, I’ve been part of School District 308 at a variety of schools and grade levels (2nd, 4th and 5th). In 2013, I found my “home pond” with the Southbury Sharks! I’m excited to get to know your child and work with you to best meet his/her educational, social and emotional needs! Here’s to a wonderful year together as a team.
