Miss Emily Demerath
Welcome Wolves! I am excited to spend the year with you.
I have been a part of the Wheatlands Elementary School community since the 2009-2010 school year. After student teaching at The Wheatlands in 2009, I earned my bachelor's degree from Monmouth College in Monmouth, Ill. After graduation, I worked in the computer lab as a teacher’s assistant and as a district substitute. During this time, I was fortunate enough to be a long-term substitute for two Wheatlands’ teachers. The 2011-12 school year was the first year in my own classroom, where I taught second grade. During the 2015-2016 school year, I moved up to fourth grade and will be in third grade for the 2017-2018 school year. I obtained my master's degree in curriculum and instruction which includes an endorsement in English as a second language through Aurora University, in Aurora, Ill in 2016.
