BS in Elementary Education from Trinity International University MA in Educational Leadership from St. Francis University National Board Certified

Mrs. Megan Mann

I am thrilled to have taught in School District 308 since 2000. After graduating from Trinity International University, Deerfield, Ill., I started my teaching career at Long Beach Elementary School, teaching first grade. After five years, I transferred to The Wheatlands and enjoyed teaching kindergarten for four years and have continued at The Wheatlands teaching first grade. Over the years, I obtained my master’s degree in educational leadership from the University of St. Francis, in Joliet, Ill., and am currently pursuing national board certification. In addition to serving on several district committees regarding mentoring new teachers, math curriculum development, and science curriculum development, I have also fulfilled two short-term administrative leaves over the years. Serving the district and families that are a part of our community brings me great joy each day as I welcome my students into my classroom.
