Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Kim Larson
Welcome! I enjoy working with young children, and I have had the privilege of teaching early childhood for the past 17 years. This is my fourteenth year working in District 308.
I attended Elmhurst College, in Elmhurst, Ill., where I received my bachelor’s degree in early childhood education with a special education endorsement in 2002. I completed the English as a second language endorsement through National Louis University, Chicago in 2013, and recently completed my master's degree in Early Childhood Curriculum and Instruction.
Throughout my teaching career I have had the opportunity to teach in a variety of early childhood classroom settings including kindergarten, instructional preschool for children with multiple disabilities, and blended preschool.
I believe strongly that children learn best while having fun with hands-on experiences in a warm and positive learning environment. I am looking forward to seeing all of the growth that the children make this school year!
