Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Ruth Hanson Hale
I graduated from Illinois State University, Normal, with a bachelor's degree in early childhood education, specializing in the learning and development of children from birth to age six and with approval for early childhood special education. During that time, I worked for Migrant Head Start and worked to practice the skills I was learning at Illinois State. After graduation, I was hired by Kendall County Special Education Cooperative as the early childhood teacher in Plano. During the years I taught in Plano, I attended night classes at Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, to earn my master's degree in special education, with an emphasis on preschoolers. Also during the years I was the early childhood teacher in Plano, I worked for my endorsement from Northern Illinois to teach English as a Second Language. I have taught at Brokaw as a blended early childhood class teacher for four years, and I love teaching District 308 preschoolers!
