Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Elizabeth Fell

Welcome Mavericks!

I am very excited to be part of the Murphy Junior High School community. I received both my bachelor’s degree in education and my master’s degree in reading and literacy from the University of St. Francis, Joliet, Ill. I am endorsed to teach language arts and social science through eighth grade and reading through 12th grade. In my current position at Murphy Junior High, I have the privilege to teach 6th grade Language Arts, 6th grade Social Studies, and the 8th grade AVID elective. I am also the yearbook adviser.

I believe that if an atmosphere of dignity and respect for all students is created, all children can learn. Every child deserves the gift of a future, and I am firmly convinced that one person can have an enduring effect on another’s life. My goal as a reading teacher at Murphy is to support students by teaching them the tools they need to construct and share meaning in a variety of contexts in today’s world. This development extends beyond the school and impacts all aspects of the student's life. I am looking forward to all of the exciting learning and growth that will be taking place throughout the school year. Please feel free to contact me if you have any concerns or questions.
