Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Laura Steele-Fritsch

I attended Illinois State University, Normal, where I received a bachelor’s degree in art and a minor in graphic communications (a division of industrial arts). After college I worked in the printing industry for 10 years. During that time I went back to college at National Louis University, Chicago, where I received my master’s degree in elementary education with middle school endorsements in art, industrial arts, math, language arts and social studies. Once I completed the program, I became a teacher at Kaneland Middle School, where I taught art and industrial arts for four years. During my time at Kaneland, I attended Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, and received my second master’s degree in curriculum and instruction. After my fourth year of teaching I left Kaneland to work in District 308, where I received a job at Murphy Junior High School. I currently teach industrial arts and coach 8th grade girls volleyball and 7th/8th grade boys volleyball.
