Ms. Katherine Theodor
I have been an educator since 1988, when I began teaching third grade at Koraes School in Palos Hills. Though I have taught a variety of courses and grades levels, I have found working with middle school students to be the most rewarding. I have been employed in the Oswego Community School District #308 since 1997. I am a state-certified Reading Specialist and I am teaching seventh grade English Language Arts. Furthermore, I currently serve on Traughber's AVID Team and Building Leadership Team.
I graduated from Aurora University, Aurora, IL, in 1988 with my Bachelors’ Degree in Education. My graduate work in reading was completed at Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, where I received my Master’s Degree in Reading in May 2000 and my Reading Specialist certificate in fall 2001. I attained a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership in May 2011 also from Northern Illinois University.
I believe learning is a lifelong process, and I am inspired every day by my colleagues and students. Furthermore, I am constantly seeking out meaningful and innovative ways to teach students to be better people, productive citizens, and lifelong learners. I am very proud to be a Traughber Panther and look forward to a great school year!
