Welcome to the First Grade!

  I would like to introduce myself to you. I have been teaching for 9 Wonderful years, 8 here at Southbury. I graduated from OHS in 2003 and went to undergraduate school at Elmhurst College. Upon Graduation, I began working in district 129 as a fifth grade teacher. A year after, I received a third grade position at Southbury Elementary. I have enjoyed working with the students at Southbury and learn something new from them every year.

  After my sixth year in third grade it was time for a change. I decided to try my hand at first grade and I LOVE IT!! The students get extremely excited to learn and absorb all the material. We have great discussions that they are  always participating in.
